The whole family hit the Arkansas Flower and Garden Show this afternoon, and we had a really fun time! There were tons of booths to browse through and a bunch of huge, beautiful displays that almost made you forget they were set up indoors.

Many of the displays were filled with great gardening ideas. I really wish someone would magically appear in my backyard and set a few of these up.

Definitely a more modern-looking style of raised beds.

I really want one like this for lettuces someday! (I'm pretty sure I saw that in a magazine once.)

The kids really enjoyed exploring. Their little eyes were drawn to every booth filled with garden decorations, along with bigger outdoor features.

Everyone dug the big wooden glider, which sells for about $500, I think.

The chicken coop was wildly popular, although the birds inside were fake. There was one there with real birds, however.

Some of the displays were downright drool-worthy! My yard is huge but certainly not flat by any means, so even if I won the lottery someday, I’d have to move to get any of this … well, except maybe that wine wall.

Pretty neat!

I think this was something like a gas chimnea with multicolored flames.

Just wow. Clearly for the chi chi set. I could only dream for this in my yard!

An outdoor margarita station! Now that's my speed.

Pretty sure my husband flinched in fear at this one, thinking I'd want it immediately.

All in all, I’m really glad we went (and that they didn’t provide shopping carts, because I could have really filled one up). The show is open Sunday, too, so check it out folks!

I went to the show a few years ago and was disappointed they didn’t have more geared toward the novice gardener! lol. I think you could do some neat things in your back yard. You’d have to terrace it. And as for lettuce, container gardens are perfect for that and you can get the girls involved in tending them. Great family project!

My friends and I loved the show also. I bought way too much stuff.
