I would like to introduce the newest member of our family……………

Meet Candy Cane, the newest member of the Hanry clan. So far she has been a good girl but I have a feeling her mischievous side is going to show up pretty soon.

Bear first took an interest in Elf on the Shelf after her friend Bridgette received her elf, Chatter Box,  last year. Bear could not wait to hear about Chatter Box’s nightly adventures. I considered getting Bear an elf last year, but Hubby and I decided to see if Bear still “Believed” this year.

I bought Bear an elf in early November. I decided to return it after one of Bear’s classmates, lets call him “Big Mouth,” decided to tell her that Santa was not real. Big Mouth almost got my big foot shoved in his mouth for trying to crush my babies Christmas spirit. Bear asked us if Santa was real. Hubby and I were undecided on what to say. I started to mumble something, but Hubby interrupted by asking Bear if she thought Santa was real.

At first Bear was determined to prove that “Big Mouth” was wrong by sleeping in our bead Christmas Eve to see if we were Santa. After another one of Bear’s friend received an Elf on the Shelf for her birthday, Bear was back in the Santa Game again. Seems “Big Mouth”  did not break my babies Christmas Spirit after all.

Last week I set out on a search for a little girl elf. I found all sorts of boy elves, but not very many girl elves.

Finally, I found Candy Cane.

Welcome to our family Candy Cane. I can’t wait to see what mischievous stuff you get into.
