Today Andrew is celebrating his third birthday.
You may be asking, who is Andrew? I wrote about this precious little boy in September of 2011. (Click here to read that post.) At the time, his parents, Katherine and Sam, had only recently discovered that Andrew had Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
Since then, Andrew has defied expectations. He is walking and will start a Pre-K program in a few days! It is hard to believe how far he has come in such a short period of time.
So I just wanted to wish Andrew a happy birthday! Enjoy the cake, kiddo — you’ve earned it!

Aw! Thanks, Yavonda! He had a fantastic day full of pizza (his favorite food) and will have cake and his Grandma tomorrow – what else could he ask for?
