I’ve done quite a bit of cooking off recipes I’ve found on Pinterest lately, so I thought I’d share the results.
We had this last night, and it tasted like salty dog food with broccoli. (They can’t all be winners!)
But we made this as one of our Super Bowl snacks, and it was awesome! Of course, it’s really had to mess up the combination of cream cheese, bacon, sausage and jalepeno.

This was a recipe by picture one, so I don’t know who to credit. But I cooked them at 375 for 20 minutes. Perfect!
Here was another winner that made a pretty easy side dish. I doubled it for some giveaway meals, and it seemed to work out fairly well.

This links to a spam site, but green beans, mushrooms, balsalmic and olive oil with a dash of salt was great roasted.
This sucker was really deceiving — lauded as the best thing ever to put in your mouth. Well let me tell you, I spent 3 HOURS on these lemon rolls, and the frosting came out looking like someone had barfed on some rolls. They were OK, but not great. We ended up eating them under ice cream to hide the barf look, and that helped to make them a little tastier, too.
This beer cheese macaroni was not bad. Clearly something more targeted toward the adult taste buds in the house, since the kids tolerated it but didn’t wolf it down.
This baked pasta dish was tasty, but it could have used a little more moisture. I doubled it and froze one, and that unfroze and baked pretty well too. Overall, a decent one to keep in your freezer cooking arsenal.
This crockpot buffalo chicken, meant to be eaten on a bun, just didn’t turn out right. The time listed cooked the chicken way way too dry, so I added some cream cheese to moisten it up and balance out the heat a tad, too. But still, the dry chicken taste prevailed. Go oven on this one instead, and you probably won’t regret it.
Thoughts? Questions? Rude commentaries about my cooking skills, anyone?

I’ve been tempted to try the broccoli beef one. Thanks for taking one for the team there, I’m going to pass now LOL
I found a chicken and dumplings recipe that is delicious! My child asks for it every night. http://tastykitchen.com/blog/2011/11/homemade-chicken-and-dumplings/
Thanks, Kristina! My husband actually loves chicken and dumplings, but I can’t make it for squat. So I’ll have to give that one a try!
Good for you for trying. I have been using my Jamie Oliver cookbook. Made Beef Wellington the other night. Should just call it bland pot pie. Tonight it was mac and cauliflower and cheese. Pretty yum but reminds me of the bland frozen kind despite a cup of cheddar cheese.
If you like eggplant, I have an Indian dish for you
I do! Please send it my way!!
