Thanks to my trusty friend Pinterest and the need to be crafty. I am starting to get in the Valentine’s Day mood.
My daughter and I decided we needed a little Valentine decor in the living room.
First up, A set of Sweethearts Candle Holders
- 2 medium glass vase
- 2 Small glass votive holders
- Bag of Sweetheart candy
- Valentine’s ribbon
- Flower or other decor
- Fill glass with candy
- Bury end glass votive in the middle of jars
- Add tea light candles to votive
- Tie ribbon around vase
- Garnish with decoration
I also needed a sweet treat for one of my co-worker’s birthday. Happy 40th, Angie!
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup butter (melted)
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg (beaten)
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 to 1 1/3 cup Valentine M&M’s
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in small bowl and set aside. In medium bowl, mix butter, brown sugar and mix well. Cool slightly.
Add egg, vanilla and blend well. Add flour mixture a little at a time, mixing well. Mix in 2/3 cup M&M’s. Spread into 9x9x2 inch pan.
Sprinkle remaining M&M’s on top. Bake 20-25 minutes.
